Introduction Often, we define ourselves by: Our weaknesses Our past mistakes Our limitations Other people’s opinions But in Judges 6–7, we see a powerful truth: 👉 Your identity is not based on how you see yourself — it is based on who God says you are. Gideon’s story teaches us that victory does not come because of who we are, but because of Who God is. II. Background of the Story During this time: Israel was oppressed by the Midianites for seven years. The people were hiding in caves and living in fear. They cried out to the Lord for help. God raised up an unlikely deliverer — Gideon. III.
