Why We Should Not Worship Idols or Images Made of Wood, Stone, or Precious Materials ๐Ÿ™  ✨ Introduction In a world filled with visible symbols, people often look for tangible things to help them feel connected to the divine. Statues, carved images, paintings, and relics made of wood, stone, or precious metals may seem sacred—but  God clearly warns us against idol worship. The Bible teaches that  God is not confined to any image or object  made by human hands. The practice of praying to saints, particularly in Catholic tradition, began several centuries after the early church was established. Around the  3rd to 4th century , as Christianity became more institutionalized,  certain believers who lived devoted lives were honored after their deaths . Eventually, these honored figures were declared “saints” and venerated. Over time, people began  praying to these saints for intercession , believing they had special access to God. But this practice is  not rooted in Scripture .
